The trailer of Richard Linklater’s Boyhood is FINALLY out. After receiving critical acclaim at Sundance, SXSW and the Berlin International Film Festival, the teaser for this unique, coming-of-age film will definitely make you feel all sorts of emotions.
Taking 12 years to shoot, Boyhood documents the life of a boy named Mason (Ellar Coltrane) as it takes a look at how he grows from age six to 18. The film will also examine the relationship he has with his parents, played by Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette.
Judging from the snippets I’ve seen so far, it’s clear that a lot dedication, time and effort was put in by the director and all of the film’s actors. The movie’s premise is truly a great concept and idea.
I don’t want to praise the film too much, since I haven’t seen it yet. But boy (that was intended), does this film look AMAZING.
Boyhood comes out July 11, 2014.
